The company

Since 1973 the family owned company  sam has been developing and producing taps, accessories and cosmetic mirrors in Germany.  In order to coordinate and administrate the two production plants in Menden (accessories and cosmetic mirrors) and Leipzig (design taps) the company sam Vertriebs GmbH + Co. KG was founded in 1997. sam employs overall 360 collaborators and is considered as one of the leading German manufacturers of bathroom accessories. The basis of the present successful market position are continuous design concepts and coherent product philosophies. sam‘s products are exported all over the world. In Austria and Switzerland sam is represented by its own agencies. Today the company which was founded by Franz-Josef Schulte is also managed by his daughters Simone Schulte and Carolin Schulte.

Know-How

sam stands for competence – in all questions regarding the production of technical parts of brass, zinc or plastic.  We draw back on many years of experience and a modern machinery with which we produce individual parts, small and large batch series with highest dimension accuracy and narrowest tolerances at our premises in Menden and Leipzig.  The own electroplating shop offers many possibilities of surface finishing and fulfils our high claim of quality.  The creative team of our development department and the qualified employees of our own tool making guarantee customised solutions and precise products. Factory

The combination of traditional handcraft and modern manufacturing technology stand for continuity with high potential for progress. For 100 years taps have been developed and produced in Leipzig.  These 100 years mean that steps into the future have been risked, visions have been realised, new chances and possibilities have been seen and launched. Then as now courage, energy and determination are required. 
These unique characteristics have contributed to the takeover of the company “Sächsische Armaturenfabrik” by Franz-Josef Schulte – owner of sam –  in 1996 and to the completion of the sam product portfolio with a fascinating tap programme. Today sam taps are characterized by variety, convincing functionality and beautiful design.
